With considerably more features than its 14-inch counterpart, the Daewoo 518X provides varied features incorporating commendable performance and good looks. Obtaining the best display is a simple job using the onscreen display (OSD). Supporting trapezoidal, pincushion, colour correction and degaussing through the OSD, this monitor boasts of features normally present only in higher-priced units.
While running the monitor at the test resolution of 1024x768 at 85 Hz, it displayed slight blurring in two edges with a slight clicking while changing from text to video mode. The overall screen geometry was balanced with no bending of the vertical and horizontal bars in the centre or in any of the corners.
Overall, with very clear image quality and the integrated OSD, the Daewoo 518X provides very good value and performance in its range.
